Rosier, Langham
- Langham
Chasing a family of Rosiers, the earliest known being James Rosier who married Elizabeth Watson in February 1834 in Langham, Suffolk. James was a clock and watchmaker, though after the family moved to Bedford, Bedfordshire, in the early 1840s he begins to practice as a gunmaker. The family left for Australia in late 1849. Trying to establish James' parents. A small, but possibly misleading, hint appears in a bio piece for one of his sons - John William Rosier - which states that he hailed from Cambridgeshire. Eldest son, James Watson Rosier, took his mother's surname as his middle; although the youngest male, did John William take his grandfather's christian name? Would be grateful for anything anyone can offer.
