I am trying to trace a lady with the married name of Clarke, previously Taylor, whose Father was manager of Bertram mills Circus and prior to that was a sargeant in the army. Mrs Clarke is one of twin girls and she sold programmes for her father at the circus. i believe she has settled in Lowestoft. I'm looking to fill out the family tree of Albert Spurgeon, Coxswain of Lowestoft lifeboat, and his father Willam Calver Spurgeon 'worthy' of the town. Which i worked out from family memories and local records some years ago. Albert had two surviving siblings John and Margaret. Albert was married to Ellen 'Nelly' Maud Keable (or Keeble) (b. c1872) who had at least five siblings Hiram, Frank, Walter, Ada and John the family originating(?) from Norwich, can any one link in from there? William Calver Spurgeon (c.1843-1905) was the son of William of St. Andrews and married Elizabeth Dunham in Yarmouth on Jan 31 1861. The Calver (or Carver) bit comes from his maternal line Margaret Carver Shaul, and i suspect his grandmother was called Margaret Calver (b.1787, Gorleston / Low) - anyone? I've got most of the Spurgeon / Spurdon / Spurden line(s) from James Spurgeon (b.1760) and his wife Ann Scarlet onwards to the late 19th c. can anyone fill out either end?

During my research I have come across an entry for Eliza Goodwin Woolsey. She was the eldest sister of my great grandfather. It appears that she had an illegitamate daughter in 1856 and then disappears from the census returns for England and Wales. Has anyone got any information about her or the Goodwin's, or poss Godwin's, of north west Suffolk. Also I am researching her parents, and grandparents, James Woolsey born April 1811 at Market Weston and Elizabeth Parkin born circa 1814. His parents were James, born c.1793, and Ann Crack, born c.1793. If anyone can help or if they require information I am very happy and willing to help.

Looking for information on Mary Ann(e) Knight, daughter of George & Emma. Born 1866 in Marlesford she married my husband's grandfather (James Hobart) in January 1891. There was a 3 year old daughter Elsie. Trying to find out if Elsie was James's daughter or not as there is no record of her birth under either Knight or Hobart.

Florence/Harriet Flatt gave birth to Vera in 1902 She never divulged the fathers name. We have found his photo hidden behind Vera's taken around 1900/04 he apparently emigrated probably to New Zealand..do you know who he was?
