I remember being told that there was a connection between my mother's Ray family and the Aldous family in the tree on my father's side. I have traced the Ray family of Dulwich, London, to Huntingfield, which is the birthplace of Ida Frances Aldous, born 1906, who married my father's brother. I am wondering if anyone has access to the Parish Register of Icklingham. I would like to know if there is an entry in the Banns section for the marriage of Ann Capp to John Baker. The marriage took place 14 June 1802. They did not marry at Icklingham but I think Ann may have come from there. Any information would be gratefully received.

Records before 1630 show the Guile and variation surnames in Ilketshall St. Margaret, and througout Wangford Hundred in Suffolk. Two descendants emigrated to New England in 1636, settled in Dedham and Haverhill in what is now Massachusetts. Extensive descendants in my records. Thomas Footer - Ingham
Thomas Footer and his wife Alice had several children, one of whom,Thomas, married Susan Tod in Ingham in about 1774. One of their sons, James, married Jane Skinner on 17 April 1800 in Ingham and they had a number of children including Susan(born in 1814) who married John Deeks in Icklingham St James in 1841. I would be pleased to hear from anyone researching the Footer or Deeks families.

Pendle family Ingham, Suffolk - Ingham
Is anyone researching the Pendles around Ingham, Suffolk in the 1700s? Some of them were wheelwrights. I have Nathan Pendle, 1755-1835 and his wife Rebecca Andrews, whose son John Pendle 1794-1843, married Catharine, 1792, - surname not known. They moved to Halstead, then Colchester, from where Samuel Ridgley Pendle b.1820 made the move via London where he was a fishmonger, to Birmingham, on the death of his wife Mary Ann Ives, 1825-1867, when the Pendles became tailors. I am trying to trace any and all family related to John Buckle b.1763 at Ingham. He married Ann, and the family moved to Fornham St Martin area. They had a son also called John who married Eliza Kemp. The adoption of the report was agreed by the Council.The committee have engaged the services of Mr Edmund Catchpole as clerk of the works, at 3 guineas a week.

I am researching my Hamblin ancestors I am in receipt of about five separate Hamblin family ancestral trees going back to about 1600 - 1700. Two of them from Australia. My own branch of the Hamblin tree originated in Ipswich, Suffolk, and the earliest record I have is of one George Hamlyn being apprenticed to a Butcher, Owin Jolly. George became a Freeman of Ipswich in 1621 as have The majority of the generations since. The Hamblin family were quite wealthy land and ship owners, as their willstestify and had large families. For my own part I am looking at filling in the gaps in my own tree and it Is possible that you may be able to furnish me with some information.
