James Baker - Circa 1790 - Groton
James Baker is my 3 times great grandfather. He married Sarah ???? and they had at least 6 children: Sarah 1816, Lucy 1818, Jonathan 1821, Emma 1822. All were born in Boxford, Suffolk. No facts are known regarding the origin of father James or Sarahand so far their wedding has not been traced. I am interested in any information regarding James and Sarah or any of the children.

TRICKER - Groton. - Groton
My G/G/Grandfather Zachariah Tricker is listed on the 1871 census as having been born in Groton - Suffolk although then living in London. He was born in 1799 and I wonder if anyone could give me any further details on the family. He was a brick-layerand died in London aged 83.

GOSLIN(G) Phillip C1560-1626 - Groton
Phillip Gosling and his wife Alice baptised 12 children here in Groton between 1578 and 1597, and both were buried here. It is very early for records but I am seeking details of their parentage and marriage.

PEARSON John (1619 - ?) - Groton
John Pearson from Little Waldingfield born 1619 married some-one called Frances here in 1649, and they baptised two children here in 1650 and 1653. I have found Frances's burial in 1689. Am seeking information as to her maiden name and John Pearson's burial.

John Steed marries Ann Smith 1785 Groton, nothing known about John's parents. Joshua their son bap 1824 Groton marries Caroline Seaborne 1824 Colchester St Mary and have 9 children bap Groton and the boys follows the trades of plumber, glazier, stainers and grainers. Their son William marries Sarah Shermand 1850 Boxford. Eight children baptised in Boxford and the last South Hackney 1868. I know a lot about this family, but would like to hear from anyone who connects to this line.

Goslin & variants - Groton
I am trying to find the ancestors of Hannah Goslin born 16th May 1711 in Groton. Her father was John and he was born circa 1685 in Groton. He married Hannah ? in ? presumably at Groton. Also I am trying to find the ancestors of Susan Goslyn who married Abraham Stow on 15th May, 1735. I am not sure if the two lines are connected as there are several variations in the spelling of the surname for this family.

Childrens Home Grundisburgh - Grundisburgh
My father was brought up in a small children's home near the centre of Grundisburgh throughout the 'thirties; evacuated to Derbyshire during WW2, he returned after the war and found it being used as an old peoples' home. I believe it to be an ivy-clad private residence now, but would like to be able to identify the building to him when we visit later this year. Is anyone able to help us identify the building please?

TITSHALL/CLOW - Grundisburgh
Seeking anyone who has connection or knowledge of the Titshall,Clow families of late 1800's and early 1900's through to about 1940. My grandmother was born Florence Titshall youngest of 6 children, I believe they lived at Grundsburgh Mill.Her father's name was John and mother Ellen Jane Nee Smith I think. 3 older sisters were, Cassie, Blanche and Grace. Cassie did marry and had one son Michael but he died of a brain tumor aged 16 yrs and her husband was killed in the war WW1 I think. Grace worked for the Grazebrook family as a governess? to their two sons, she worked for them all her life until reitrement I believe. Joe (Cecil?)was a favourite of my grandmothers, he was her big brother. My grandmother came out to Australia in 1949 with her husband Ernest Clow and their youngest daughter Heather Clow, Ernest was a butcher by trade and worked in Hobart, Tasmania first as a butcher but then he worked for the Govt. as a statistician until his retirement, he had quite a few brothers and sisters and one sister Winifred (known as Winnie) was a missionary and lived in Wellington, New Zealand, she came to visit us on several ocassions, one of which when I was born. She died in N.Z. about 1965 approx. My Grandfather Ernest Clow eldests brother Robert Clow who was born March 1890.Robert's mother was Alice and Robert was brought up by his Grandfather Alice's brother, Charles Whitfield-King, who raised and educated Robert "Bob". Alice later married George CLOW and they had 8 children, Rosa A,born 1892/3, Edward G. 1893/4, Ernest W. 1895, Amelia Winifred known to me as Auntie Winnie born 1897, Stanley A. 1898 then after 1901 Harry, Sidney and Cyril. Robert known to my grandfather as "Bob" grew up to be an artist, he was captured by the Germans in WW1 and held prisoner, he became popular with the German soldiers because of his painting talents and painted their wives whilst a prisoner, to my knowledge Bob never married. My mother recalls visiting all her father's relatives during the war years and thinks about 1941/2 visited Bob, it was sometime later that he died.They lived in Ipswich. Love to hear from anyone with news of where the decendants are of these families today. Does anyone know where Robert is buried and when he died?
