i am searching for info on the Perry family from tipton. THOMAS JOSEPH born 1825 died 1885 married MARY and had 5 children, the family lived at WERGS HAll. the children were CATHERINE,THOMAS,CHARLES, S and ANN. S Perry signed the marriage certificate for Catherine to SIMON SILVESTER on 31/10/1793 at Wolverhampton.
Can any one provide any further info on members of this family. In 1841 census Catherine was living in Dudley Tipton.

I cannot find the birthdate of my Great Great Grandfather. JOHN ATTWELL he married Hannah Catherine HOLT on 14th December 1873, St. James Church Dudley. Hannah was only 15 years old. I have only just traced this marriage as the Vicar had recorded the name as Hadwell. They had 11 children.Sarah b.1877. Phoebe (my grandmother) b.1881. Florence b.1883. John b.1887. Hannah Catherin Holt was born in Kingswinford. According to census enteries for 1881. 1891 and 1901. John Attwell puts his birthplace as Dudley. They lived all their lives in Tipton in Bell Street.

My grandfather was William Henry Smith b.1854. He married Ann Marie Collins. My father, Horace Wm. Smith was their only child and served as a gunner in WW1 & his address was listed as 79 Horsely Heath in Tipton. My Gx2 Grandfather, Samuel Johnson was born in Tipton in 1831 and was an iron-puddler. He later moved to Derbyshire and married a Martha Grainger. They moved to Leeds and the family settled there. I have info on Thomas Hessey from 1881 onwards but can't find him on the 1861 and 1871 censuses. He was born in Tipton (Bloomfield) around 1852 and on his marriage certificate his father's name is John - I can't find any trace of him either Family stories say Thomas was an orphan and was educated at a bluecoat school.

Looking for any info on Willaim and Rebecca Price (nee Ward) who in the 1861 Census lived in Watery Lane Tipton with their children John age 12, Mary Ann age 8, William age4, Josiah age 3 and Rebecca age 4 months. William was born near Oswestry, shropshire and Rebecca in the Madely/Ironbridge area of Shropshire. They married in 1849 in Madeley just after the birth of their eldest son John. By the 1871 census they had moved to The Leyes Darlaston and their son John no longer lived with them. I cannot find Rebecca or William after this date. Any info would be much appreciated. They are my gr8 gr8 gr8 grandparents and their daughter Mary Ann is my gr8 gr8 grandmotherwho went onto marry Isaiah Stych. Many thanks Sue

I'm looking for information on Mary Phillis Bunce born 1882 in the Tipton area who was living in Dudley Port at the time that she married Alfred Jones in 1902. Davies, Samuel of Tipton, born 1813-1818 - (Tipton - Staffordshire)
Looking for any information on Samuel Davies, alias Williams, locksmith, of Tipton. In 1840 he was arrested for robbing a warehouse, tried at the Lancashire Quarter Sessions and sentenced to 7 years transportation. He arrived in Tasmania in 1841. He possibly remained there and became a farmer, possibly marrying Elizabeth Millar in 1855. Grateful for any connections! Mary.

Tipton 15-2-1832, d. 23-12-1889; plus James' older brother John STANTON b 1825. Also trying to find details of James' son Joseph STANTON, b. Oldbury 17-7-1861, d. 8-6-1927, m. Margaret STALKER d. 29-12-1944. Joseph has the notation 'bad' beside his entry in an old document...I'm interested to know whether 'Bad Joseph' was legally or familiarly bad.

I am looking for descendants of John Russell and Esther Robbins who lived in Regent Street, Princes End, Tipton in the mid-late 19th Century. John was a brick burner and Esther came from Monmouthshire. They married in Kidderminster in 1864 and their 10 children were born between 1866 and 1888. Daughter, Jessie married Harry / Henry Johnson, son of Jacob Johnson who was the son of John Johnson born circa 1806 in Tipton. Jacob was a manager in an iron works and lived in Bloomfield, Tipton. Some of the Johnsons emigrated to America but Harry returned to Tipton.

Looking for information on Sarah Whitehouse who married John Charles Johnson. Sarah was born around 1800 and John around 1806. Sarah was born in Tipton but John could have come from Cambridgeshire? Their children were baptised at St Thomas, Dudley. The address on one birth certificate is Hurst Lane. There appears to be several namesakes in and around Tipton circa 1800 which doesn't help.
