I am looking for imformation on James and Thomas Hankins (father and son) born c 1837 and 1867in Pensnett. James was a canal boatman which probably accounts for the fact that he is missing from most of the census returns. He married Caroline Wasssell (nee Morris) in Dudley. I have Thomas (a widower) marrying my gt grandmother in Yorkshire in 1904 but can find no other trace of him between 1881 and then.

Trying to make contact with anyone with information on Brown family from Perry Bar Birmingham. My father was christened Ernest Edwin Brown born 1920 but was known as Jimmy, and his father went by the same name. They ran a garage in Smethwick until 30 years ago. My grandmother lived in Halesowen, I am not sure if my grandfather lived there or not as he died before I was born. I have my fathers wedding photo and there seems to be a lot of relatives on his side. My fathers siblings where Gladys and Frank, would love to know more about my grandfather or grandmothers side.

Am trying to find a baptism for Ann Baker bc1830 in Pillaton/ Gnosall. She was living with her grandparents Robert and Mary Baker, nee Evans, in Pillaton in 1841. I think she was illegitimate as when she married Robert Owen in 1855 at Penkridge therewas no father recorded.

My GG grandparents were Samuel and Annie Hall who were farmers (poss.address - Norncoth(?)) within parish of Abdon at Stoke St.Milburyne, Shrophire. I have a copy of the baptism cert. for their son John Hall who was baptized on 1 July 1837, cert. is signed by 'H.Wilson Rector of Abdon'. We know John was married twice - he had 2 children to his first wife (Samuel and Sara). After the death of his 1st wife he married Eliza Jones on 11 August 1868 at St.Johns Church, The Pleck, Walsall. They had a further 7 children one of which was my grandmother Emma. By the time Emma was born (1883)they were living in Barrow-in-Furness, Lancashire (now Cumbria). Emma married Charles Henry Stevens and had 4 children Maude, Elsie, Gladys and Charles Henry (Jr) - who was my Dad. They lived in St.Lukes Street most of their married lives. Does anyone have any common ancestors? Would love to hear anything which could be relevant. I am now living in Australia and would dearly love to pass on family history to my own grandchildren. Joan

Looking for information on Thomas Maybury b.1841, married to Amelia Beddall and second marriage to Eliza Jones. Also his father, William Maybury, c.1800 married to Eliza Morris b.1818 from Monmouth, South Wales. William died age 47 in 1847 from encephalitis and Eliza went on to marry Isiah Deeley. Also lived in the Cradley and Brierley Hill areas. William Maybury c1800 had a brother, John Maybury b.1798 and was born in Wrens Nest, Shropshire or Astley, Staffordshire - both entries on census records and was married to Sarah Morton b.1796. There is also a David Maybury who is a witness at the wedding of William and Eliza and am interested to know where he fits into the family.

Looking for any information about William Bangham (Baugham)and Mary Hart, married around 1888. They had several children, Benjamin Thomas, Bertie, Leah, Margaret, Evan, George, Beatrice. Sometime between 1901 to 1911 two of the children (Thomas and Bertie) changed their surname to Pearson and lived in Durham for a while. Looking for somebody with more informaton that I have. Benjamin Thomas was my grandfather. I have found the family on all the UK census up to and including 1901 where they are listed as living in Quarry Bank. I have not found them on the 1911 census.

John BURLEY b. 1825 Pensnett/Kingswinford m. Mary BURLEY (confusing, same family name!) 1855. He was a Provisions Merchant and I believe was connected with a company trading as 'Glover & Burley' at Birmingham market and they were in existence until the 1970s, but I cannot confirm the connection to John. BURLEY family lived at Maughan Street Quarry Bank and John's son, Thomas BURLEY was reputed to be a fine craftsman in brass, having artifacts in Quarry Bank Parish Church, as well as own family pew. Family moved to Cradley Heath, Rowley Regis and finally to Baldwin Street in Smethwick. Would love to learn more if anyone has info?

They lived in Rawnsley and John Hall was a Farmer, Coal Inspector and also an Honorary District Evangelist for the Church of England. Mary Ellen (Nellie) Hall married Archibald Gratton Webb, a Butcher from Frome, Somerset in 1898. Their marriage is listed as the July-Aug-Sept at Bath Registry Office. They had 2 children and lived in Frome, Somerset. On the 1901 Census, Mary Ellen (Nellie) Webb (nee Hall)is once again living with her family in Rawnsley, with her 2 children, Beatrice aged 2 and Walter Gratton John, aged 8 months. I have found no trace of Mary Ellen after this date. Does anyone have any information please? Many thanks.

My Bond and Ward ancestors are all from Rocester, Staffs. William and Harriet Ward had 11 children, the eldest was Pamela,-b.1849 who married Sam Bond. My grandfather was Richard born 1868, was Pamela's eldest child and my father Colin, was born 1897. There was one girl and 7 boys. Some of the Bond children of Pamela & Samuel's, married into the Morley, and Bentley families. I would like find anyone who is related. Pamela Ward Bond married again in 1887 to Thomas Pegg, and had 3 more children, Pamela, William & Vincent Pegg. There are connections to the Lamburn family also. My grandfather worked in the Cotton Mill when he was a young fellow. My grandfather came to Canada in 1910. Anyone that can help please contact me.
