John (1799) married Elizabeth from Bridenorth, Salop and had children John Smith, the Engineer who ran the Coven Village Foundry, born 1826, Mary Ann (1824) - who married John's business partner John B Higgs, and Jane (1822). My grandfather Thomas wilson, married Lilias Helen Smith in Worksop in 1919. On the marriage certificate he is at that point a grocer by trade and Portshead Villa is quoted for both as a registered address. Is PV still there. I am told that he was born in the Hull area but am finding it really difficult tracing the rest of his siblings. His father is listed as Arthur Wilson a traveller and an Elizabeth Wilson is a witness. I have no means of knowing whether she was his mother, sister or sister in law. I gather he was the eldest of 8 children and was 28 at the time of the marriage. Any help would be appreciated.
