Cornelius Baker b Tipton 1768 married Ester ? (possibly Smith) in 1788 they had at least 3 children all born in Tipton - Cornelius, Esther & Joseph all christened on 25th Feb 1798 at St. Thomas's Church Dudley.
Cornelius b approx 1798 married Elizabeth ? born West Bromwich on 16th September 1822. They had 7 children all born in Tipton. Hannah Baker born approx 1823. William Baker born approx 1825. Catherine Baker born approx 1828. Elizabeth Baker b 1830. John Benjamin Baker b 1832. Mary Ann Baker b 1835 and Esther Baker born 1837.
William married Sarah Onions 24th May 1847 & had 6 children. John b Tipton 1849, William b East Indies 1858, Joseph b tipton 1860, Sarah B Wednesbury 1864, Betsey b Monmouthshire 1867, Phoebe b Goscote 18 1873.
Joseph married Lily Maria Stokes in Handsworth 1888 and they had 8 children born in Bradley area Joseph 1889, Leonard 1891, John 1893, William 1896, Elsie 1901,Charlie, Marion & Lillian. John married Florrie Jackman in 1914. Leonard married Elsie Whitehouse in Bilston. Love to hear from anyone with a connection.

Brown - Brewood
I am trying to trace descendants of Vernon Brown b. about 1837 in North Rode, Congleton, Cheshire, son of Charles Brown b. Biddulph ?1804 and Ann Holland b. Gawsworth c. 1802. After working in Manchester where some of his children were born, Vernon became a farmer at Brewood, Staffs (Bell Fields farm). His children were Levi Brown b. about 1863 Manchester, John b. Manchester about 1867, Mary Brown b. Manchester about 1871 and Fanny M. Brown b. about 1872 North Rode. The whole family was living in Brewood in 1891 and Vernon alone and a widower in 1901. I believe there may still be descendants living in the Codsall Wood / Donington area, possibly also in Wolverhampton. Any help appreciated. Dennis.

My gr gr grandfather John Matthew Smith b. 1835 in Brewood, son of Edward Adams Smith b 1806, Brewood and Harriet Price b 1810, Church Eaton.The males were blacksmiths as was Edwards father John born about 1770 in Brewood.John Matthew married (although unable to find where) Harriet Humphreys, Tarporley, Cheshire. Had Harriet (1855 I.O.W.) John (1857, Brewood) Samuel George (1860 Wolverhampton) Sarah Jane (1863 wolverhampton) Harriet/Mary Ann (1866 Somerford) Elizabeth (1868 Broughton) Edward A (1870 Ardwick) Fred (1873 Herndon) Charles (1875 Broughton). Harriet died and John married Alice Smith and moved to Worchester. They had more children Arthur John (1891 Worchester) and Alice Mary (about 1900 Worchester) John Matthew went as a blacksmith to the Crimea and had been based in the I.O.W. After discharge worked on the railway and moved around a lot. His daughter Sarah married Arthur Ellis from Manchester and shifted to Australia. Mary Ann married a Robert Johnson from Manchester and also later moved to Australia.
Fred and Charles lived in Worchester with their father but Fred later went to live and marry in Kent. Would like to find other members of the family.
