WESTs, BATHs, CRISPs - (Bath - Somerset)
Seeking dedicated Researchers interested in: Sarah BATH nee WEST (b 5 Apr 1815) d 14 Oct 1909 at her farm "Malford" near Walcha NSW Australia, aged 94. Her parents: Thomas WEST (boatman) and Elizabeth. Sarah married the widower William BATH in Bath's "Trinity" Church on St Valentine's Day 14 Feb 1842. William's mother Mary Bath nee Hull d 1849 at 4 John St, Bath. In 1844 William and Sarah were living at Christian Malford WILTS (Bath and Ch. Malford had been linked by rail in 1841) when they were chosen by the Poor Law Union's Emigration Fund to be sent to Australia as assisted migrants. They arrived in Sydney in Dec 1844, settled at "Malford" outside Walcha NSW and have many descendents today. My great-grandfather George Crisp WEST (bapt. at Ch. Malford 20 March 1851, son of John WEST (poulterer, marketman) and Jane CRISP) got married at Walcha NSW 1871, his first child born at "Malford". There was no WEST family recorded at Ch. Malford in the 1851 Census. Also Martha West (b Bath ca 1855) married Police Constable Richard Murphy at Walcha 1875. ANY INFO REGARDING THE WESTS MUCH APPRECIATED. Furthermore: seems that John West and Jane Crisp m Bath 1841 (Vol. 11, p. 12). Seems Jane died Bath 1847. Seems John widower 43 was in 1861 Census with son Charles 13. Seems John was in the 1871 Census aged 59 with new wife Elizabeth and two step-children. Seems John is not in 1881 Census. Seems William Bath and Sarah West m Bath 1842 (Vol. 11, p. 17). Were John and Sarah siblings?

Bailie family - (Bath - Somerset)
Does anyone have any information on the BAILIE family who lived in Bath in the early 1800's. Head of family was Col William Annesley Bailie who married Hon Elizabeth St Leger in Cork. I think they had at least 2 sons, William Annesley and Thomas Goddard, born at the end of the 18th Century. I think there was a daughter who married John Nagle from Cork. The family lived at 10 Green Park Buildings and there is an obituary in the Bath Chronicle for William Bailie Senior on May 23rd 1821. William Junior married Jane Georgina and their children were all baptised at Walcot St Swithins from 1823-1827. Their names were Georgina born 1822, Elizabeth (1820), George (1819), William Annesley (1814), John (1824), Clare (1826). Thomas Goddard married Mary Murphy in 1810 and was a lieutenant in 80th Foot Regiment. Mary is listed as a widow in 1841 census. They had 5 children - Thomas Goddard (1817), Charlotte Brereton (1818), Henry, Elizabeth and Matthew, dates uncertain. They were living near Bath Abbey. There was another Bailie family living at 29 Grosvenor Place in 1830-1846, possibly a Captain and his wife. I know the children of Thomas and his wife moved to London but I have no information on the others. Any help would be appreciated.
