Tout, Veysey, Marshall
- Brompton Regis
William Tout born 30.9.1818 Brompton Regis son of Florence Tout, she died 1825, aged 27.
William married Mary Ann Marshall 30.9.1857 as a Veysey not Tout. He reverted back to Tout in the 1871 census and thereafter till he died in 11.1.1895 in Dulverton. His father on his marriage certificate was Richard Veysey. We beleive Veysey and Tout are one and the same. Can anyone shed any light on this for me. I have been researching this line for 3 years. Thanks

Smart family
- Bruton
In 1821 James Smart was born at Weston,Bath, parents were James b.1788 and Mary. Mary was born in India and is the problem. James died 1834 so no children after 1837 to find her maiden name, Mary was english not Indian. Date of her birth varied from 1792 to 1797 depending on which census one looks at! abd was born in Tanjore, India, She died 1880 in Bath.James, the father, was the son of William & Susanna Moore married Bath 1784. James was a soldier in the 19th foot of the North Yorkshire Regiment joining in 1803 and discharged on medical grounds at Winchester in 1820 having risen to the rank of Qtr/Mstr Sergent. The regiment spent most of those years in Ceylon and as Tanjore is in S.E. India close to the N.E. coast of Ceylon is it possible Mary and James married in Ceylon. AM looking for the marriage.

Wells
- Burcott
My Great Grandfather was Robert Bartlett of Burcott, Wells,Somerset and he was B 28-10-1845 and he had 2 brothers and 2 sisters .John, Edward,Emily and Susan. Robert immigrated to NZ around 1864 . Their Father was Joseph Bartlett B.2.1.1820 , who had 2 sisters Eliza and Martha and a brother John B.18.7.1824 . I believe their Father was also Joseph ! All settled in around Wells , with Roberts Sister Susan going to Wales .
I know of no living relatives in the UK and would really like to make contact with anyone related living in the UK or elsewhere for that matter. My only connection to Somerset is a school exercise book of my Great Grandfather Robert Bartlett from his school in 1859 Cherry Orchard , Burcott , Wells, Somerset. I wonder if the school is still there?
Anyway look forward to hearing from anyone with an interest in this family .
