The Turner Family - Horton Shropshire - Horton
I am seeking information and descendents of the Turner family who lived in Horton, Shropshire in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, they lived next door to the Queens Head public house, what was their house is now part of the pub, immediately prior to moving to Horton they had lived in Kynnersley, Shropshire, the head of the household was Thomas Turner B.1829 Tibberton, His wife was Eliza Heaford B. 1835 Cherrington. Their children were - Mary Jane B.1864 Cherrington (My Great Grandmother), Henry B.1861 Cherrington, Jane Ellen B.1867 Tweedale, Thomas B.1873 Kynnersley, Ada B.1880 Kynnersley. My Great Grandmother Mary Jane (who did not marry), had 5(?) children - Mary Turner B.1903 Horton (my Grandmother), Charles B.1909 Horton, Walter B.1896 Horton, John B.1894 Horton, Gertrude B.1899 Horton. Mary Jane Turner was in service at several large houses in the area including Hoo Hall in Horton. My Grandmother Mary, left the village in 1916 to work in service at a place called Worsley in Lancashire (where her descendants including myself still live). I met Gertrude her elder sister several times and she lived in Market Drayton until her death she had married Joseph Batho in 1928 and had a son John, born 1930 in Market Drayton, I have recently located the family of Charles Wilfred Turner but of the other family members I have no records. I would be most grateful for any information, no matter how small, especially photographs of the family and the villages that they lived in and also if anybody knows the whereabouts of the Turner family bible.
