Born Deddington 1850, married Kate Roberts 1875 approx, had a brother Matthew (born 1848), ran various pubs/inns incl Town Hall Tavern and Plough in Banbury and then New Inn Middleton Cheney, Father also George possibly came from Witney area. Any help with family in this period greatly appreciated.

Martin Lucas was born in 1740 in Banbury, Coventry. He was a plumber, glazier and painter. He married Honour Fearn on 1st September 1763 in Southam, Warwickshire. Martin died on 15th April 1796. His parents were Martin Lucas and Elizabeth Treadwell. Does anyone have any information about these families?

Looking for a dear friend I have lost touch with. His family lived in Banbury on a farm which overlooked the Pub at the Swalcliffe. His father was a lovely man who served in the Queen's army. My gggrandfather Joseph South lived in Banbury and was a blacksmith. his wife was called Jane, they married in 1863 and they had children called Edwin,Ruben,charles, Robert, Selina,Josish(?) and lewis. at one time they lived in Calthorp Street. Can any one shed any light on Jane and her background? i can't find her maiden name anywhere but assume there must be a jewish link given the names of the children.

Police Officer E E Wilding - Banbury
Can anyone help me out with any details of what Eddy Ernest Wilding was doing during 1914-18 war. I know he was definately in the Oxfordshire Constabulary at this time, but I also have a photo of him wearing what appears to be the uniform of an Ox and Bucks light infantry recruiting sergeant. He and his wife Julia lived in a police house on Warwick Road. They had nine children.

Beales of Banbury Photographers - Banbury
I have Beales (Beals)at Neithrop from 1820's and Heritage's from 1780's. I have been told that the Beale family had a photography business in Banbury for many years probably into the 1920's. Any info greatly appreciated.
Also Info on HOBBS family. Samuel Hobbs born 1827 Neithrop was the father to 3 children of Caroline Beale born 1825 Neithrop but they never married. Can't find Caroline after 1861. Maybe she married ? Carolines mother Elizabeth Beal born 1791 Bloxham - not married either.

I have the birth certificate for Amey Hodder born 3/9/1838. Amey Hodder married Robert Fudge and they had a daughter Amey Elizabeth Smith Fudge born in 4/6/1859 in Weymouth, Dorset. Amey Hodder's parents were Robert Hodder from Grimsbury, Warkworth (Mariner) and Mary Ann Pearce. On the 1841 Census they lived in Grimsbury Hamlet. On the 1861 Census Mary Ann surname had changed to Smith. Any information about Amey Hodder and her parents would be appreciated.

William Faulkner married Mary ? date, but first son was John was born 1764 in Beckley, all subsequent children were also born Beckley. My ancestor Robert Faulkner born 1768 moved to Cholsey Berkshire after marrying in Beckley to Elizabeth Hall in 1793.
