I have James EMPSON, parents unknown, born Blyth c. 1808. Possible parents Charles and Elizabeth who lived in Blyth in 1841. By 1841 James had moved to South Anston, Yorks WR where he married Sarah BATTERSBY. The family name became EMSON and EMSEN in later generations.

My great grandmother Annie White (apparently) came from Bothamsall. She mentioned it on the 1911 census, and earlier mentions her birthplace as Rockley. She was born c. 1852 and married (although I have yet to find that) William Shurrock. If anyone has info that might rubber stamp this please let me know.

On the 1841 census my gt.gt/grandfather, is shown as living at Boughton. age 25, with his Wife, Sarah, aged 20, and my gt.grandfather, aged 9 months.
They then moved to Kirkby in Ashfield.

Looking for Selby - Bradmore
I am looking for my ggg grandfather, John Selby who was born in Bradmore, Notts, about 1809. He was the son of William Selby and Mary, maiden name unknown. He had a sister Elizabeth, born about 1805. It's unknown whether there were other children. John and Elizabeth emigrated to South Africa, but as far as I can tell, were not part of the 1820 Settlers, nor do I know whether their parents emigrated as well. John was married in
South Africa in November 1843.
Any info on William, Mary, John and Elizabeth would be greatly appreciated.
I also have this info: Parish Records of Keyworth Co Notts Removal Orders 1731 - 1820.show 11 July 1803, William Selby and Mary his wife and William their child aged about 1 year are legally settled in Bradmore to which locality by law they ought to be sent.
Keyworth Parish Church Marriages
William Selby of Broughton Sulney and Mary Pike of this parish were married by banns on 23 March 1802.
These may or may not be relevant.

I am trying to find any living relative(s) of Gervase Adcock born 1846 in Bramcote, Notts. He was married to Mary Jane Church and she was born 1849 in Ullesthorpe, Leicestershire.

My gggrandfather was William Eyre born in Nottinghamshire in about 1826. He married Jane Scarr in Leeds in 1844. I believe he might be the son of John and Elizabeth Eyre from Budby. I am seeking confirmation of this. He is also supposed to be related to the Australian explorer Edward John Eyre. I do not know of the direct connection but would like to confirm that also.

Searching for Faulconbridge, Woodward, Drury, from Bulwell between 1850 and 1925. The Faulconbridges and the Woodwards were coal miners. George Faulconbridge married Elizabeth Woodward in 1900 but they changed their surname to Drury some time between 1900 and 1930. We don't know the reason for this. They had children, Tom, Harry and Lily, and possibly a Joyce. Harry and Lily were given the name Drury as a middle name.

William James Reardon - Baker - Bulwell
Does anyone have any memories (or photos) of the Bakers Shop at 94, MAIN STREET, BULWELL. It was run by my Gt Grandfather William James Reardon, I think in the 1940s & 1950s. It was opposite Rollins cycle dealers & near to Steggles sausage shop. William was also a president of the Northern Master Bakers Association if anyone has any info about this too.
