Faulkner 1810?
- Nottingham
Trying to find out more substantial info about JOHN FAULKNER b. abt 1810, parents JERVIS(Gervas) FAULKNER b. in Alrewas, Sts. and ELIZABETH LEES, m. 6 apr 1803 St.Mary. Nottingham. There are at least two other children Jane b. 29 aug 1802 and Elizabeth Booth 4 apr 1819. A bit too far apart? Jervis' 2nd marriage was to another Elizabeth in 1834. A Nottingham Journal art. March 24, 1821 turned up a story about a John Falkner aged 12, who was apparently deported for 7 years, we think to Tasmania. He ended up in NZ as one of the noted pioneers in Tauranga. He arrived we think about 1825 as a carpenter? He maintained however that he was born in 1811 in Whitby (probably a lie). Does this ring a bell with anyone? Any info most welcome. Desperate researcher Corinne in Oz.

The Arabella who was born around 1865 married Edwin Clifford, and they had a son called Bernard. He married Cissy Blasdale, and they had a daughter called....Arabella. Can't seem to get back further than the 1871 family. One thing, they always seemed connected with the fancy cardboard or paper box making trade.

Williams Pole
- Nottingham
I've come to a brick wall with this family. William Russell Williams was born 1821 to George & Catherine Williams (c1782 and 1786). He married Harriett Pole (b.1824) daughter of John & Sarah Pole (no details known about them only that John was born outside Notts and they were born 1786-1791). I'd love to find out more about George & Catherine Williams and John & Sarah Pole, but I think one or both of these families were General Baptists, therefore no baptisms took place, making it even harder to pin them down. Any help would be gratefully received!
