Solomon Strolger - (Newcastle upon Tyne - Northumberland)
Solomon had daughters Elizabeth (1728 - 1814) she married John Temperley and left her estate to Nicholas Temperley who was a sugar merchant and became a magistrate. Monica Strolger married Robert Bell in 1765 perhaps at St John's Church. There were three unmarried daughters Mary (1740) Isabella (1735-c1800) and Julia (died c 1802). I think all five daughters were christened at St. John's Church (at the corner of westgate and Grainger St.)
Monica was my gggg grandmother and I'd love to find out anything about the family. Please can you help?

Brown - Newcastle - Denmark - (Newcastle upon Tyne - Northumberland)
Hi, just started researching the family history on my mothers side, seeking to find some information on our english family roots. My grandmother Maisie Brown was born in Newcastle upon Tyne the 6th November 1922. All we know is that her father's name was Albert Brown and he lived 11. Thirlwell Road Gateshead 8 until the 1970's. He was maried to Florence Brown (b. O'Neill)and they also had a son named joseph. Albert Brown was a coalminer. My grandmother Maisie Brown married Richard Johannes Nielsen the 13th October 1943 in England, a sailor. Wishing for a better life my grandmother left England and tried to start a new life in Denmark. She died of the deadly disease Huntinton's chorea in 1970. During the years she never spoke to her daughters and sons of her relatives or family background in England, thus we know very little. We know that Maisie had a cousin named Winifred and my mother Florence Nielsen was also told as a child that Maisie had about 14 cousins in England. My mother will be 60 the 23th of August and I hope to find some information to give her on her day, I know that she will be so happy for this. I would be very grateful for any usefull information. So please send me a mail if you are able to find some information on my grandmother, her father and mother or other relatives. This would be fantastic, something to tell our children.

His parents were Roy Miller (sr)born 1892 and Margaret Welsh who were married in 1912. Sadly Margaret died in 1924 and I understand the family had a hard time because of the poverty in Tyneside after WW1. Any info would very much be appreciated. Thanks Mandy
