Matthew SKELLY (born 1643 Edlingham, died 1681) married Kathren LEARCHILD. They had one son Thomas SKELLY ( B. 1659 Edlingham) before Matthew remarried to Margaret FERGUSON on 26 May 1668. I would be appreciative of any information anyone may have regarding the SKELLY or LEARCHILD families. I am particularly interested in the name LEARCHILD. I understand it may refer to the village of Edlingham. I have been unable to uncover other Learchilds in my web search.

I'm looking for info on George PATTERSON b.Alnwick c.1829 & Margaret CLARK b.Carlisle c.1830. Their son James was baptised 27 Jul 1856 in St.Cuthbert's Elsdon. They had a dau Jane b.c.1853. By Apr 1858 they were at Beanley Tile Sheds where dau Isabella was born. By 1861 they were at Wallsend where Henry Clark & John George were born.
Margaret had a sister Ann b.c.1828. She may be the Ann who m.Ebenezer DRYSDALE (b.1825 Scotland). (Some of) Ann & Ebenezer's children were John b.Alnwick 1850, Jane Graham b.Elsdon 1853, dau.Lillias b.Embleton 1855, then Sarah b.1857, Martha A b.1863, & Hellen b.1864 all b.Co.Durham.
Cousins? James & Hellen m.1892 at Easington,Co.Durham.
George, Ebenezer & James were Tile & Brick Makers. Any help gratefully received.

James Temple married Mary Scott at St Cuthbert's Elsdon 17/1/1771. They had 13 children, son William, born 1777 married Mary Thompson in 1798.
Family moved to Wingates/Rothbury area, then Bothal/Pegswood and my branch to West Wylam in 1860's. Lots of other Temple's in these areas so would like contact with any of same line.

The information I have is that he was married to Eleanor, he could have been born in Wallbottle in 1793, he worked as a coalminer and had five children, Dorothy, James, Mary Ann, (my gt gt grandmother), Isabella, Margaret and Joseph.
