Imisson
- Bedale
Looking for information on the Imisson family of Yorkshire.
The 1881 census shows James R. Imisson, aged 32 and born in Middleham, as living at Wycar Cottage, census place Bedale.
He was the Wesleyan Minister of Bedale. Also recorded at that addresson census day was a Mary C. Hill, sister of James, aged 38 and born in Shetland and a nephew Samuel I. Hill aged 11 born in Colne, Lancs., and a niece Kate Mary Hill aged 8 born in Bolton, Lancs.
Does anyone have info. on James R? Was Mary C Hill perhaps an Imisson before she was a Hill and this is why she is recorded as sister to Jame R?? Is this why Samuel and Kate Mary are shown as nephew and niece?
Are these people related to the Imissons who have resided in Swinton for several decades?
