I am researching my mother's family and seeking infornation on her father's family. He was William Samuel Goodman born abt 1878 in Barby. His father was George Goodman and his mother was Lucy Peasnal. He had a number of siblings and any informatiom from their descendants would be most welcome. The Goodman's were agricultural labourers. However, towards the end of the 19th C he appears to have gone to live in Hillmorton. At some point he worked at the cement works in Rugby, leaving in 1914.

When I started tracing my family tree the surname was Padget, it has evolved into Paget then into Pettit. But I have been able to get a direct line as far as Thomas.
