James Brett Garner b 1843c - parents details not known. Married Louisa Lunn in Pembroke, Wales, while in the Army in 1874. Louisa already had three sons Albert, Charles and John. She and James then produced - William, Caroline, Rose, Mary Jane, Theodore, Edwin, Reginald, Christohoer, Alice Maud and Dorothy May.
In 1891 Census the family is living at 29 Havelock Place, Lambeth.
James died at Lambeth aged 52 on 11Apr1895.
In the 1901 Census Louisa is aged 44 and living at 24 Chapel Rd, Lambeth with her eight younger children.

William Spurling married Mary Alden (or Olden or similar) & they lived at Burston Hall. Daughter Rebecca married a William Spurling of Worlingworth, SFK at Burston Hall, settling at W'worth and raising many children there. Several died and are buried at St. Mary's church, W'worth. Rebecca & her William Spurling (son of Wlm Spurling & Phyllis Selsby) emigrated to Port Phillip (Melbourne) Australia in 1853 along with the remaining children aboard "Northumbria" and settled at Hawthorn, Victoria. One son, Wlm Spurling, had emigrated to Kilmore, Victoria, Australia with his cousin Leonard Palmer (from NFK) in 1849/50. Wlm & Rebecca and spinster daughter Ellen are buried together at Boroondara Cemetery, Kew, Victoria. Rebecca died aged 104 years. I descend from Rebecca & Wlm's son Selby Jeremiah who married in Western Australia and who died at Roebourne (W.A.)
