I am searching for any connections to the WILIAMSON family from Snettisham and outlining district in Norfolk. My earliest connection is William Williamson who married Mary RAINER in 1715, there son FRANCIS WILLIAMSON b 1737 married Mary Ann HARRISONin 1759.
The family naming pattern includes , Mary, Elizabeth Sarah, Francis, John Alice and Matthew.
At some point the naem changed to WILMERSON but then reverted back to WILLIAMson.

I am looking for any information on the Scarfe family in Snettisham. Robert Scarfe snr, Robert Scarfe jnr and his son James Robert Scarfe. They lived in Snettisham in 1700's and James Robert Scarfe returned in about 1825/30 when he inherited a lot of land and I think a brewery from James Miller, who's daughter was his mother. Does anyone know of a brewery in Snettisham around that time? Many thanks.

Robert E. Thompson was born in South Creake in 1841. His parents were Robert Thompson, born c. 1809 in South Creake, and Margaret, daughter of Edward Dent and Ann Collison. Edward Dent was born in 1775 in Holme next to Sea, son of Samuel Dent and Elizabeth Titteringham. Ann Collison was born in 1789 in S.C., the daughter of Robert Collison and Mary Baney( born c. 1761). Any information on these families very welcome. There is a Roland and Jane Thompson of South Creake of about the right age, butcannot find any other likely parents.

Kiwi researching Francis(Frank) Lewes (Lewis) who married Emma Evan Tuddenham at the Parish Church, Sth Creake Oct.12,1874. He gives his age as 28,(so born abt 1846) his fathers name, William, Mother Eliza? Emmas' age 24, her father, James.They emigrated to NZ Nov 1874, ship"Rakaia" and a son, Francis Rakaia Lewis was born on the jouney out. There were two children travelling with them, George & John. They settled in a small Sth Canterbury town. Any info. on these families in Norfolk would be greatly appreciated. Have quite a bit on them in NZ.She changed both her surname and christian name spelling over the years i.e. Tedman, Tudman - Evalina.

George was born on 11 November 1777 and died 28 December 1828. Married Philis (aka Ann) Cook on 7 April 1800 most likely in Southery. They had nine children. Sarah Gray (b. 1828) was married to my gg granfather Wiliam Dixon. Hewas a blacksmith & married Sarah who was a daughter of Mr. Gray the master blacksmith, who was his apprenticemaster. William stayed with them from the age of 10!
James Dixon,(Williams father) had a wife named deborah Hewitt (1812-1859), James evidently married Sarah gray's mother after Deborah died!

John Coe (b.1768), my great-great-great-grandfather, was the Spixworth blacksmith in the early years of the 19th century. His daughter Mary married John Broughton (b.1809) when John took over the forge in 1838. After John and Catherine died in 1852, the Broughtons left the forge for Norwich. John Coe was also the Parish Clerk in 1852. Any info on the families or the Spixworth forge gratefully exchanged.
