I am looking for any information regarding Benjamin FARROW born about 1782 in Norwich. He married a lady by the name of Martha. They had a son called William born 1808 in Norwich also. I don't know when they moved to Tasmania, Australia, but it would have been after the birth of William in 1808. William married Maria Yates in 25/12/1849.

John Broughton (b.1809) moved to Norwich as a blacksmith from Spixworth around 1852. His sons Joshua and Lemuel and daughter Salome moved with him. Joshua worked as a coach smith in Wright's Yard, off Ber Street, Lemuel was a basketmaker in Thorn Lane, and Salome married a harness maker called William Oldfield, moving to London around 1899. Any info on these families and related others such as Oldfield, Twiddy & Loveday welcomed - I have lots to offer in return.

William Fothergill Robinson, Liverpool Hide Broker - Norwich
I am looking for information on the Robinson's and the Atkinson's of Liverpool, some residing in Aigburth, near Liverpool in St Annes' Street; Christopher Atkinson, American Merchant and his children Mary Susan and William Christopher. The Robinson's were William Fothergill, a hide broker and his wife Mary, their children Arthur, William Fothergill (Junior) and a few others. They all came from Liverpool. Arthur Robinson was born in Liverpool in 1843. He went on to marry Mary Susan Atkinson, being the daughter of his father's probable buisness associate, in 1867 in West Derby just out of Liverpool. They went onto have about 9 children from 1869 to 1881, when I believe Arthur died. Arthur was a South American Banker. Their oldest daughter, Ethel Mary Robinson went on to marry Edwin Bedford Steel in Toxteth Park, in 1899; they had a son in 1907, my great grandfather, Christopher Bedford Steel. I would appreciate any information about banking and brokers, and buisness in Liverpool involving the Robinsons and the Atkinsons from about the 1830's to the 1870's. Thank you Bye for now Jessica

I am trying to trace an Albert Roberts who father was Frank, mother Alice, he had brothers Ray and Kenneth. He married Ethel Youngs and had a son Michael. He was in the Royal Norfolk Regiment and fought in the east. He was killed in action out there. Before marrying Ethel he worked in a shoe factory. He was aged 27 in 1942. Mother and father lived in Barrack st norwich. As yet i can find no details of this family and my father memories are few due to being a small baby in 42.

William DARBY alias Pablo FANQUE 1796 Norwich - Norwich
My great great grandfather, William Darby, son/ John DARBY and Mary STAMPS, 1810 Norwich, mr Elizabeth CORKER, dau/ George CORKER and Martha ?. William was a circus performer and eventually became a circus owner under the alias of Pablo FANQUE. In that capacity he travelled all over England and Scotland. Many posters advertising his circus and performances have survived. One poster in particular became famous as it was found in a book store by the Beetles who wrote a song about Pablo and his circus entitled "For the benefit of Mr. Kite" and it appeared on their Sgt. Peppers album. Their son, Edward Charles DARBY, bn 1855 in Manchester Lan. also became a circus performer and fought a lot of matches as a boxer. He later adopted "PABLO" as a second name and many of his children took it as their surname. In 1875 Edward mr Jane Elizabeth ANDERSON (also a circus performer), dau/ Robert Anderson and Catherine BENT, in 1875, in Edinburgh Scotland. Their son, William George DARBY was born in 1877, I believe in Bamburgh Nthmb. He married Louvina LOCKHOFF, dau/ Charles Lockhoff and Friedericka TILKER, in 1907, in Toronto Ontario Canada. They were my grandparents. I would be delighted to hear from anyone with any knowledge of the above.

I am looking for information on the forebears of Richard Webb b. 4.3.1795 at Norwich England. He was baptised at St Julians church 15.3.1795. His parents were Richard & Mary(nee Frost). Richard Webb was transported to Parramatta Australia in 1813, later to become a successful timber merchant & land devloper. Richard Snr. and Mary were buried in the St Julians graveyard.
