Wonder if anyone can help with finding my Great Great Grandfather, James Horstead. I have found great grandfather Edward John Horstead marrying in London in 1868 - he cannot be found in London before that date. I have now received a copy of his marriage cert and his father is given as James Horstead, occupation Brewer. It has been family legend that the Horsteads went to London from Norfolk and I see there is a clutch of them in two villages including Aylsham. If anyone can help I would be grateful. As Edward was born 1840, I would imagine we are looking for a married just before that date and a birth for James of perhaps 1800 - 1820? Many thanks

Freebmd has a Sept qtr 1868 marriage and censues have Edward and Elizabeth Spink both b. Aylsham with thier children, (the first, Rose, b. Aylsham 1869), born Aylsham and also Durham. I am a little thrown by the man's name eing various Henry Edward or Edward, but lilkelihood is they are one and the same, though Spink name very common in Aylsham. Would like to hear of any info on them please.
