My great-great-great grandfather Thomas Pomfrey (b.1786) married Mary Houchen and lived and died in Hingham. Mary's father, Edmund Houchen, married Rebecca King in Hingham in 1786, and a Houchen married into the Kingaby family. The Houchens were mainly butchers and the Kingabys were postmasters and shopkeepers. Any info about these families gratefully received - and lots offered.

Charlotte was born about 1801 possibly at Newton St Faith and died some time after 1871. I am researching the Lake family and would really appreciate any information on both Charles Lake who can be found in the 1841 census occupation 'Woodsman' lvg Holkham and his wife 'Bradford' born 1797 Harpley, Norfolk. Also on their dtr Mary Lake chr 1816 St Withberga, Holkham. If possible I would like to find out if and who she mrd. Charles died between 1841 and 1850. Bradford then mrd William Kendall in Jun 1850 reg Walsingham and can be found in the 1851 census lvg with William (b 1787)occup 'Errand man'. Bradford's occup is 'Gate keeper' and they are lvg at 'Kendall's Lodge. As Bradford seems an unusual female name I am assuming it is a family surname somewhere along the line. Bradford Kendall's death was reg Sep 1860 at Walsingham. Many thanks.

not much is known about the family before them some say that eliza was a gypsy and the family did not approve of her? thats why they left honing, i believe that the gedge family lived next to st peter and paul churches.
