Gotts of Hevingham & Stratton Strawless
- Hevingham
I run the one name study for the name Gotts. My tree starts at William Gotts, married Margaret Baldwin in Norwich in 1745, then married Elizabeth Burrage in Hevingham in May 1757. Looking for his birth around 1725 somewhere round the area, but he's not in the parish records!

Balls Family
- Hevingham
My G Grandfather Charles Daniel Balls was a publican at the Fox in Hevingham in 1891. I am looking for information about how he aquired the Fox and why subsequently his son left the Fox before 1901. I believe Charles was either given the Fox or made a tenant by the Lord who owned the Estate. Charles was his Coachman and had intervened when one of the maids was being accosted by two young gentlemen. A lovely story which I am trying to find the circumstances. Thanks.

Tuck/Leader
- Hilborough
Aussie family descended from Samuel Tuck bc 1811 and Emma Leader bc 1818. Went to Aus. 1848 as assisted immigrants with 4 children. In shipping lists Sam says born Ilford, Essex (as are children), parents William & Elizabeth. Emma says born Hilborough, Norfolk, parents John & Mary Ann. There are many Tucks and Leaders in this county, and maybe Sam also came from there, but so far no likely matches. A Reuben Leader was on the same ship. Any info appreciated.

John Baldwin - Hindolveston
- Hindolveston
My ancestor John Baldwin was living in Hindolveston between 1789 up until his death there in 1840. His wife Anne (nee Fickling)came from Gunthorpe and married John in Letheringsett and died in Hindolveston in 1841, a month after the census. I am unsure where John was born but it was about 1767, somewhere in Norfolk. Their son William married Sarah Fox in Hindolveston and then they moved to Swanton Novers. The Baldwins are traced from there through Peterborough, Grantham, Wigan, Sheffield and Oxford.
