Horstead family
- Hethersett
Hi, be grateful for any help tracing my Great Great Grandfather, James Horstead. I am able to find my Great Grandfather, Edward John Horstead marrying in London in 1868 but cannot find him before that time in London (apparently he had a brother called Jonas). I have now received Edwards marriage cert and see his father named as James Horstead, occupation Brewer. It is family legend the Horsteads moved to London from Norfolk and there appears to be two clutches of them, in Aylsham and in the Ketteringham/Hethersett area.
As Edward was born in 1840, I assume James would be married prior to that date and have a birth year of say, 1800 - 1820?
Be grateful for local help.

Hevingham
- Hevingham
I am researching my family history, my maiden name is Hevingham, and recently I have been given information that a Thomas Hevingham born c.1811, came from the village of Hevingham or near, in Norfolk. Apparently, for some reason he changed his name to Teasdel Morse, and I am hoping that someone may have information that will help me on my way. If this information is true, this could be my g.g.g.grandfather, as the dates and name are correct, and it may the mising link I have been looking for. Myg.g.grandfather was also Thomas Hevingham and he was born in 1839, so the date scale is correct. Please can anyone help, it would mean a llot to our search.
Thank you, and I hope to hear from someone soon.
