My great Grandad is William Henry Barber, born 1890 Gt Yarmouth, he was a Fisherman he started his service approx 1909, his dad was George Barber (no info) Nov 29 1911 William H Barber married Matilda Collins in Tynemouth Northumberland. George Sidney (Sydney) Gibson was my great grandfather & a fisherman. On 23 Apr 1874 he married Elizabeth Rosina (Rose) Hickling, bn 1856 at Yarmouth. I have found census records for her & the children of the marriage, but can find nothing about him other than the marriage record. The marriage certificate shows his father as a bricklayer, also named George. George Sidney's address was given as Row 105 & his wife's as Row 125. Her father was Robert Hickling, a tailor. Any leads to my GGrandfather greatly appreciated.

GG Grandfather Benjamin Arthur Balls born in 1860, at Dartford, Kent, England. He was a fruiterer at 131 King Street in 1881, apparently his own business with wife Charlotte Matilda, maiden name Hall, born in Acle, Norfolk, England in 1859 parents(Samuel and Elizibeth Hall). The 1881 Census has Charlotte Matilda (Hall) Balls, age 22, and Charlottes younger sister Anne Hall, age 19, working as the fruit grocery shopmaid, and a young domestic servant Miss Ann M. Crow age, 16. Benjamin Balls vanishes before the 1891 Census, Wife C.M. Balls ran the fruit grocery, moved to location at 159 King Street in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk... 1891 Census lists Alice Balls, (age 8), FLORENCE MATILDA BALLS, (age 7), Reginald Balls, (age 5), and Percy Balls, (age 3). In this household also did reside domestic servants and tutors. The 1891 Census listed these folks as Lena Fox, Martha Groom, and Harriet Tubby... Charlotte Matilda`s husband, Benjamin Arthur Balls, (passed away? or absent) in (about 1888?) In the late 1890's? Charlotte Balls remarried to Mr. Edwin Hart Then as listed in the census of 1901 had moved to Civil Parish: Lambeth, St. Catherine Brixton, (Lambeth-Brixton), London, England with daughter Florence Matilda Balls, then age 19, and Charlottes new, second husband Edwin Hart, age 54. Charlotte Matilda Hall (Balls) (Hart) was 44 years old at the time... Nothing further is known about Mrs. Charlotte Matilda Hart after the move to London. My grandmother is FLORENCE MATILDA BALLS who married in 1903, age 20, at Gt. Yarmouth, Norfolk, England, a Mr. Edmund Stanislaus Atherton(b.1880). She is in Alberta, Canada, Sept. 1913 crossing Sweetgrass International Border married to My Grandfather Otto Smithman... FLORENCE died October, 1972 in Helena, Montana USA

Children: James Charles Crisp Reeve (1840-1840), Jemima (1845) – both G/Yar. Mary Ann Crisp (1847, Tendring, Essex), Jane (1850?) & James William (1850?) – both G/Yar. He married Sarah Foster (1851 Hull) in 1870 Northfleet, Kent. Susanna Maria (1852 Faversham) – she married John Bignell (1870 Northfleet). Charlotte (1853 F’sham) – she married Samuel Bowles (1843 G/Yar or Ireland?). Hannah Eliza (1856 F’sham) – she married George Charles Philcox 1875, N. Aylesford, Kent. I am looking for information on a Henry Gamble, born abt 1813. I know that he married a Martha Lusha, who I believe may have been his second wife. I am looking for the parent(s) and perhaps siblings of Arthur Henry Stebbings, born about 1859 in Grimston, Norfolk. Arthur married Sarah Anne Marsters in Castle Rising in 1881. They had 11 children and emigrated to British Columbia, Canada some time after the 1901 census. Arthur worked for the railway when he lived in England. He died in Canada in 1929.
