My grandmother, Lucy Ann Sherratt b1896 in Biggin, Derbshire, married Robert Savory b1888 (in Norfolk) and moved to Norfolk, I believe to this area. They had 2 children, Jean and 'Freddie'. I understand that Freddie had children, a boy also called Freddie who is still alive. Robert and Lucy Ann both died in late 1972. Have tree which includes many relatives, but I am sure there are more !! Having difficulty tracing more from 1930 to date.

Does anyone know of anyone with the above surnames who lived in Feltwell from the end of the 1800's. I believe my greatgrandmother - Emma Gathercole married my greatgrandfather Robert Clarke and lived in Feltwell. Robert died on 26th December 1915 and is buried in St. Nicholas Churchyard, Feltwell - according to my information. Emma died in 1955 but I am not sure if she still lived in Norfolk or had moved to Kent in the meantime.

Robert STONE (1816-1853) was a base born son of Martha STONE with possibly connections to LARGE family and siblings of Sarah (1819), Elizabeth (1822) and William. Robert STONE married in 1837 to Susanah HEWES (1816-1902) of Fersfield. Susanah was the daughter of Edward HEWES (1789-?) and Rhoda nee BOND (1791-?). Robert and Susannah in 1853 with their family of Eliza (1837), John (1839), George (1842), Hannah (1845), Harriet (1846)and Thomas (1849) left Fersfield to emigrate to South Australia, Australia. Robert and Eliza died believed they were drowned en route. Susanah continued the voyage and in 1855 married John England HUNT (1830-1889) who had emigrated to Australia from Lincolnshire.
