1861 census shows family at 98 East Street. Does anyone have further details re this family( my great-great grandmother). I cannot trace birth records for Sarah. Could the name have been Cock??

Sarah Cox(my gt gt gt grandmother) was born 21.01.1821 to Henry and Lydia(maiden name Session) Cock as shown in Docking Parish Records. In the 1841 census she and her daughter Emily were living with her parents. In 1851 she was down as Cooke living with her children Emily, George, William, Thomas, Richard(my gt gt grandfather) and her sister Martha.

David Andrew Crichton was born to Peter Crichton, serving in the RAF at the time, and Ruth (nee Johnston) c. May 1928. David grew up in the household of May Lilian Atkins who died in Scotland in 1963. I am Peter Crichton's grandson and am undertaking this research together with my cousins. Any information about this family for the period in question will be gratefully received and treated with the utmost discretion.

BIRD family

The Bird family were gardeners and market gardeners in Docking for nearly a century but then seemed to disappear in the 1930s. Does anyone have a connection to them. The last two appear to have been George and Frederic, twins maybe. Frederick died aged 59 but George seems to have gone to Middlesex and married.
The first entry so far is for Timothy Bird born c.1763 who married Ellizabeth Brooks from North Creake in 1798.

He was a Tailor and lived in Lynn Road, Downham Market, Norfolk with his wife Harriet born c.1832 and had two children - Bessie Neave born c.1860, and Mary Neave born c.1864 who married my great (x3) grandfather, George Sutton born c.1860. My grandmother Thirza Alice Gilder was born in East Barsham/Fakenham on 15.02.1880 and was married to Christopher Graham who was born in Cockermouth. They were married in Accrington Lancs on 23.09.1903. There were seven other children. Margaret also lived in Accrington and Daniel lived in Manchester. (I believe that Daniel Gilder was editor of the Manchester Guardian at some time ).
Thirza's father was William Gilder 1844 and was married to Charlotte Galley 1846.
William's father was I believe Robert Gilder 1803 and was married to Margaret ??? 1806.
From this point I have not been able to continue. Also does anyone know the present position of Barsham Hall? My wife and I visited there in June of this year but we were unable to find it.
