Broad family - Diss
Charles Broad married Ann Butcher. One son Alfred Carter Broad (born 1851), my grandfather, was a brushmaker. In 1876 he married Martha Osborne (born 1854) of Thetford. In 1880 with two daughters they emmigrated to Dunedin, New Zealand, where 'A.C.' set up "Broad's Brush Factory". Here they had a further seven children.

Sarah Cox(my gt gt gt grandmother) was born 21.01.1821 to Henry and Lydia(maiden name Session) Cock as shown in Docking Parish Records. In the 1841 census she and her daughter Emily were living with her parents. In 1851 she was down as Cooke living with her children Emily, George, William, Thomas, Richard(my gt gt grandfather) and her sister Martha.

David Andrew Crichton 1928 - Docking
David Andrew Crichton was born to Peter Crichton, serving in the RAF at the time, and Ruth (nee Johnston) c. May 1928. David grew up in the household of May Lilian Atkins who died in Scotland in 1963. I am Peter Crichton's grandson and am undertaking this research together with my cousins. Any information about this family for the period in question will be gratefully received and treated with the utmost discretion.

Hi I'm seeking any information on Ann Warnes (my Gt.Gt Grandmother) born Docking approx 1839. In 1861 she married Francis Strike in Bromyard where both were then working. In 1861 Ann was working as a Dairy Maid. I know they then lived in Plumstead where they had at least 3 children, William, who was my Gt Grandfather, Sarah Jane and Robert. At least 2 more children were born in Loftus Yorkshire where they later settled. Eliza Ann and Mary Ann both born in the early 1870's. Ann died in Middlesbrough in 1903 she was by then a widow.

BIRD family - Docking
The Bird family were gardeners and market gardeners in Docking for nearly a century but then seemed to disappear in the 1930s. Does anyone have a connection to them. The last two appear to have been George and Frederic, twins maybe. Frederick died aged 59 but George seems to have gone to Middlesex and married. The first entry so far is for Timothy Bird born c.1763 who married Ellizabeth Brooks from North Creake in 1798.
