I have traced William Dodman and Sarah Thaxter back to their marriage in 1821 in Colkirk. William was from Horningtoft parish, and their children were born there. His parents were possibly Stephen Dodman and Elizabeth Reeve.
Sarah was from Colkirk Parish and her parents were possibly Robert and Phyllis Thaxter/Thackster/Thatcher.
I have all their descendants(in Rochdale) and am happy to share the info. I want to confirm William and Sarah parentage and then move further back.

Having compiled a documentary history of Cromer pier (Poppyland Publishing, 1998, £9.95), I am now working on a more general book on Cromer history. Work for this includes putting all references to Cromer people up until the end of 1840 on a database, as well as studying primary sources of later date for information supplementing that found in the existing published histories by Rye and Savin.
I also have a particular interest in the Bath House and the person and family of Simeon Simons who ran it for many years in the 19th century.
