I have a photo taken (very roughly) around 1910 by George Hooper, photographer, based at 13 Silver Street, Notting Hill Gate. His grandfather was Edward John Knight sometimes known as John Edward Knight, married to a caroline Stephens. they had several children including my grandfather charles born in 1875. Allen Lewis - Metropolitan policeman - (Paddington - Middlesex)
Allen Lewis was born in Eastnor in 1871 but moved to London and joined the police. 2 of his brothers also became policemen in London.
He appears to have lived around Paddington at least up to 1911 but I've no idea what happened to him and his family after that. He was married to Donna Newcombe.
There may be a connection with Plymouth and Norfolk but I don't know if that's through Allen or his wife.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thomas WHEELER (b1845) married Mary Ann HILL (b1849) 23 July 1866 in the parish of Paddington. They both resided in Conduit Place at time of marriage, and moved on a regular basis in the parish of Chelsea throughout their marriage. They have 7 children. Thomas was son of Henry WHEELER, a plasterer (b1819) and Mary daughter of William HILL, cab driver. Their son - Benjamin (b1870 d1928) was my great grandfather and he married Ada H WHEELER.

Family members Mary Elizabeth Hunter and Mary Jane Hunter (Mary and May) were married respectively to George John Page a Bootmaker in 1905, at St. Jude's church, and James Frederick Donald in 1903 a book-binder. We need to find out if they had children. Their parents were Edward and Jane Hunter. Jane was born in Aberystwyth. All the women were dressmakers in 1901.

Mysterious Margaret - (Paddington - Middlesex)
Margaret was born in 1853 in Paddington. She became a cook in a (probably) grand house in Marylebone and was married to/lived with Robert Blofield a coachman in Devonshire Mews East by 1881. Their first two children - Ivisse and Sylvia - were born there. By 1891 they had moved back to Paddington in Market Street Stables. Does Margaret sound like one of your relatives ?

I am looking for any family information about WILLIAM REED who was born in !855 in St Marylebone. He was a fishmonger and lived in Pickering Place and Hampden Street Paddington. He married Sarah Elizabeth Brighten in 1885. They had two children: Willie and Frank. He died of blood poisoning in St Mary's Hospital in December 1893. His wife was a cook and worked for the Davis family in Paddington after his death.

My Gt Uncle Jack W. Lucking was born 22nd Nov.1896 when he was 7 he was taken to Canada by a Gt.Gt.Aunt Alice. to a place called Thorold, Ontario.I know he joined the Canadian army when he was 20 but have no idea what happened to him.
