W. G. Parker - photographer - (Holborn - Middlesex)
I have a photo taken (very roughly) around 1910 by W. G. Parker, photographer, based at both 40 and 45 High Holborn. Does anyone know if the records of this company were kept or archived anywhere? My photo is (most unfortunately) not named, but I would love to know the name of the subject. Many thanks for any help you can give.

I am looking for information on my GGG/Grandfather William Francis Wyburd married to Sarah Crozier married in 1806. william was born inabout 1786. Also information on his father John Wyburd married to Ann Wilson in 1781 at St.Sepulchre Holborn. This is the only date I have for either of these two people, no birth dates or death dates. Looking for descendents/relatives of Joseph Jackson who married Mary Collett Woolfield - Q3, 1846 in Holborn,London. They had five children - Susanna (1851), Ann M (1854), John Collett (1857), Charles (1860) and Louisa (1861). In the 1871 Census, the family was living in Islington, London and had a lodger, George Brandon. Susanna subsequently married George Brandon. In later Census's, it states that Joseph Jackson was paralysed - how did this happen does anyone know? Laura

I am looking for any information on Clara Harrington who married ?????? noble, they went onto have children one of whom was Phyllis Noble (1919) - my grandmother, who then married ????? I have put this entry under kingston middlesex as that is where phyllis' birth was registered and to date the some of the children still live in this area, but the family also have connections to Dorset.

Am trying to trace my grandmother's parents Donald Bell & Alice Maud Bell(nee Woodhouse). They lived at 83, Park Rd, Hornsey, Edmonton when she was born, Joyce Iris Bell, 25 Mar 1920. (She was actually born at 77 Bridport Rd, Edmonton). Donald was a Blacksmith (journeyman)& it is believed in the family that his family were Scottish, but unsure if that is fact or simply deduced from the name? Seeking information on three daughters of Jonathon Button who were working in Hornsey at the time of the 1881 census. Jonathon Button b 1832 Westleton lived with his sister and her husband, William & Hannah FULLER at Lowestoft in 1851. He married Jane Hannah CRISP do John and Phoebe (b 1832 Rushmere) at Lowestoft in 1855 and they had 11 children. Particularly seeking information on the fate of Jane Hannah who appeared in the 1871 census with her husband but no records since then. In 1881 Jonathon was record as married, a Master Mariner,living a 2 Lake Lothing Tce, Lowestoft with his 11 year old son John Samuel, and his housekeeper was Dorothy Hardy, aged 47, widow, born Sunderland, Durham. He had three surviving daughters living in London - Alice Jane b 1859 was servant for Mary MILSOM at 133 Wilbeforce Rd, Hornsey, Jessie Charlotte (1860 - 1883) was a servant for Samuel COOK at 75 Finsbury Park Rd, Hornsey, and Laura was a servant for Henry VAUGHAN at Bruce House, 101 Wilbeforce Rd, Hornsey. These streets ran paralell a block apart.

HART from Hornsey - (Hornsey - Middlesex)
1881 & 1891 Census shows William & Letitia Hart and family living at Campsbourne Road in the Parish of St Mary's, Hornsey. They had a son, George,born 1885, who I think might be my grandfather. My grandfather's name on his marriage cert was George Henry. I would be most grateful if there is someone who could check the baptismal records for me to see if William & Letitia's George was baptised as George Henry. OR if someone could point me in the right direction to find that info.

SHEPPARD, Edward Thomas, born 1870 in Bethnal Green, married MARSHALL Ann J. or "Annie", 3 Oct 1896 at St. Peter's, Bethnal Green. Ann MARSHALL was born about 1872 in Pimlico according to 1901 Census. On that Census they are at 13, Courcy Road, Hornsey and Edward SHEPPARD is a Boot Machinist (his Father's trade). No children shown. Info. thereafter inconclusive. (Edited to correct Census date, 18 Nov 2007.)

He was born in Hornsey,1892, his parents were Alfred and Ann (Hust) Thursby. He was killed in action 3/3/1915 while serving with the Kings Royal Rifles, (service no. 9953) no known grave but his name appears on the Le Touret Memorial in France. Although his residence at the time is listed as New Southgate, I wondered if his name appears on either the Hornsey War Memorial or whether there is a War Memorial in New Southgate which shows his name. Please can anyone add any further information?

His wife was Aline R Mussabini who was born in France. N G Mussabini was a prolific letter writer. I am not related but have some interesting documents.

John Ashton, gardener, resident in or near Hornsey around 1850 - (Hornsey - Middlesex)
John Ashton was my great great grandfather. He moved to Hornsey from Manchester around 1850 to become Head Gardener on a large estate. He had 4 children, one of whom, Alice, married Jules Cardon probably in the 1870's. They owned a restaurant in Rathbone Place, Westminster.
