Looking for information on Dorcas Brimicombe married Ernest W Goff in Grimbsy in 1917. In 1916 her address was 113 Poplar Road Cleethorpe given as next of kin for her brother Sidney Charles Brimicombe when he enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force. Cannot find any children from this marriage or his name on the Commonwealth War Graves site. Dorcas came from Devon not known where Ernest was born. Any information on this couple would be appreciated.

He was adopted by his aunt - his mothers sister' and his birth name was ira john lill, mother,s name was given as Emily Lill or may be Emma Lill. I am seeking further details, (especially place of birth), on WILLIAM HENRY SMITH born I am told on 21 June 1886. At time of marriage in 1913 to Alice Mason his address was 95 Watkin Street, Grimsby. Marriage cert. gives HENRY ARTHUR SMITH, Army Pensioner, as father which seems to be correct. HENRY died at 22 Wardell Street, Cleethorpes in 1912, wife's name 'Eliza'. Apart from death details nothing further known for HENRY ARTHUR apart from dob abt. 1855 and occupation 'Butcher's assistant' at time of death. WILLIAM's occupation was Dock Worker for the Railways at Grimsby until retirement. He died 18 July 1977 when his address was 30 Sussex Street, Cleethorpes. WM. had also lived at 10 Bridge Street North, Grimsby around 1949 and also at 67 Elm Avenue, Grimsby. ALICE, (nee Mason 1892 Keelby), died in 1948 and WM. remarried 'Ethel May..' Although I have alot of details I still do not know where WILLIAM HENRY was born, perhaps overseas if his father was in the Army ? I have checked indexes but nothing verified. HELP PLEASE ! Thank you.

Looking for the ancestors of Henry Abbott born 1823 in Colsterworth, Lincolnshire. Henry's occupation was a Blacksmith. Henry married his 1st wife, Elizabeth Wilson (nee Isaac) in 1846 in Sleaford. His 2nd wife was Emily Smith (nee Bedford). Their marriage was in 1870 in Gosberton, Lincolnshire. On Henry's marriage certificate to Emily, Henry's father is shown as William Abbott - occupation Tailor. Emily's father George Bedford was a Tailor & Draper. I believe Henry's mother was Elizabeth. Henry & Emily Smith (nee Bedford), had children George Bedford Abbott 1870, William Abbott 1872, Henry Abbott 1873, Thomas (John) Abbott 1875 & Annie E. Abbott 1876, all born in Swaton, Sleaford, Lincolnshire. Can anyone help regarding this family please.

My great-grandmother, Susannah Sharp, was born in Grantham, Lincolnshire on 3 December 1849 - her death certificate clearly stated her father to be William Sharpe and her mother's maiden name was listed as Mary Musson.

Matthew Steel (bc1775) had a daughter Mary Ann (b1806, Leasingham) who married Robert Greensmith (bc1800 Brant Broughton) and on the 1841 and 1851 censuses were living next door in Cranwell. Matthew's wife is Mary, (bc 1776) at Willoughby. I would like to find the marriage of Matthew and Mary, and also Matthew's birthplace which is given as Barston Lincs on the 1851 census. I have been unable to find a Barston, but maybe it could be Baston or Boston.

I am trying to research any information I can on my great great grandmothers family, they were the Rhimes from croft in lincolnshire. The only other information that I have is that my great great grandmother was called Jane Rhimes, her father was called James rhimes and her sister was called betsey rhimes. Both Jane and her sister Betsey were born in Croft and her father was forn in Friskney. I cannot find any more information on the other family members (IE) mother or other siblings, I would be greatful if anyone can help me find anymore information. Thank you.

Samuel Sargisson and Mary Roughton married at Croft in 1819.Samuel was baptised at Croft 1796 but can find no burial for him.Their last child Charles was born 1831 and I can't find Samuel on the 1841 census.
