Brocket / Brockett - Scredington
Any information regarding the family much appreciated. I believe that Samuel Brocket and his brother William Brocket and some of their sons either worked in or perhaps owned brickyards in Scredington. Any information as to why or when the brickyards closed would be useful. I also believe that they or one of their sisters, Francis ,had a shop in the village and that one of the sons was also a Blacksmith. I am looking for more infomation on william and his wife Emily chant who i know had a shop in trafford st in 1913 and it then moved to west st scunthorpe and i also know that their daughter Ella chant had a fancy draper.s shop in sheffield st scunthorpe in 1926 , william was a tailor by trade and he kept it up until he died in 1947 . Two Robert Enos baptisedn in Sibsey - firstly 11 Jul 1756 to Robert and Ann, secondly 21 Jan 1757 to William and Elizabeth. Has anyone positively identified either of these as their ancestor? ENO Robert c1734-1784 - Sibsey
Robert Eno first appears here marrying Ann Peacock in Sibsey in 1756. They baptised 3 children here and were buried here. I am trying to identify his parents. There were Enos in Sibsey baptising children around the time of his likely birth, but no Robert baptism that I can see. Grateful for any help.

Walter J. Urquhart and his wife Margaret , lived on Boston Road , Sibsey , Lincolnshire.... This information is taken from the Telephone Directories , 1969 -1972. W.J. Urquhart is listed as a "Smlhldr". I wonder if anyone remembers these two Scots-born persons ? It is possible that there was a third person at the Boston Road address : A Scots-born widow by the name of Mrs. Brodie....................Mrs Brodie was thought to have died at Sibsey , in 1972................................................. The couple moved on at some stage , to retire in Suffolk , England.......................................................... Before living at Sibsey they were farming in Leicestershire.

Ann 1761,John 18-2-1763, William 1765, William 1767, Sarah 1768 William 1774, George 23-10-1777, Michael 1780, Note. Assuming that John Blow was aged between 18 years and 22 when his first child was born, this would indicate he was born 1739 – 1743.

As well as being a village near Sleaford, Silk Willoughby is the name of a man in my tree, b 1826 Lincolnshire d 1872 Lincoln. Parents John and Anne, wife Mary, daughter Sarah, siblings Henry, Elizabeth, Hezekiah, Abi, Ruth. It seems likely that the family may have originated in Silkby or Willoughby, which were both ancient manors. Abi Willoughby married Robert Willcock.
