HAMMOND, MAY, OGDON, OGDEN, PATMAN, STOREY, STORY
- Pinchbeck West
These are surnames of families from whom I am descended, for grandmother though born in Hull came from Lincolnshire stock. William May (d.1781) and Elizabeth Patman (d.1785)who married at St. Mary's church, Weston, in 1743 had a daughter Elizabeth who married John Stor(e)y in 1779. Among their surviving children was a son, May, b.1792, who married Ann Ogden (Ogdon?) 'daughter of Christopher Ogdon, of Pinchbeck or Spalding, I'm not quite sure which' as grandmother always put it. May and Ann hadmany children, and their son Christopher married Mary Ann Hammond. Christopher (1833-1922) was my maternal gt-grandfather and was a cab-driver in Hull.
