George Kendall - Market Rasen
George married Elizabeth Barrett in Thorne, Yorkshire 16 Sep 1811. She was born in Yorkshire in 1777. I have not been able to find George's birth information in Yorkshire but do know of a George christened 15 Sep 1773 in Market Rasen, parents Josephand Anne. There is reason to think that he is my GGGrandfather. Does anyone have information which would help in the search for his Ancestors or confirm that I am on the right trail?

Davy daughter, of 4 Nursery Street Market Rasen was present at his death. A typists error or a Nellie for instance?

Preparing to publish edited version of William Flint Moss' diaries covering his years as a cooper & businessman in Mansfield, where he was well respected in Methodist circles as a lay preacher. He is known to have visited Market Rasen, where he had family connections, incl. "uncle Taylor, father's sister's husband," (d. June 1839) & cousin Elizabeth Gothorp (d.April 1879).If there is anyone (family descendants, for instance) with information about William's Market Rasen connections, then that would be received with interest and properly acknowledged.

Dr. Zephaniah Barton - Market Rasen
I am looking for any information on my great-great-great grandfather, Dr. Zephaniah Barton. He was born on September 8, 1780 in Horncastle. He married Jane Borman (or Irvine) in 1807 in North Coates, Lincolnshire. They had 12 children. Zephaniah Barton died on November 17, 1854 (and his wife Jane died on November 26, 1865). Both are buried in the cemetery at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Market Rasen (the monument commemorating their lives and the lives of many of their 12 children still stands today). Dr. Barton was a medical pracitioner in Market Rasen for many years (as stated on the tombstone). I am looking for any information on him, his parents, etc. etc. Thank you very much in advance for your help.

I am looking for info on a Mary Collins/Breeze who lived in Market Rasen! She was born around 1879 she had brothers who all died in WW1 one possibly called Jack. She also had at least 1 sister. She lived on a farm in Market Rasen met a Thomas Connell. Unsure if she married in Market Rasen. She moved to Kent and worked as a servant then moved to Liverpool where she had 1 child thomas. Would appreciate any info on mary or her family!

John & Phoebe O'Hare - Market Rasen
This couple were my gg grand-parents on my mother's side. They died in Market Rasen in 1859 and 1860 respectively. They had children: John 1843 (b.Grantham), Edward 1845, Mary Ann 1847, Frederick 1850, James 1852, and Agnes 1855 (all b. Market Rasen). They were R.C. but it is thought Phoebe converted to be a R.C. John (senior) was born R.C. and came to England from near Newry in Northern Ireland. I seek details of their marriage-as one child became a prist & another a nun they would have been married, I think. O'Hare over time has been variously spelled O'Hair(e)or O'Hear(e) and Griffith has been spelled with a final s, and Phoebe has been spelled Feaby!

Barker, James & Eliza - Market Rasen
Any information please on James Barker b 1858 in Market Rasen, married to Eliza both of whom lived in Crowle. James worked at the Walesby Road Brickworks in Market Rasen as a brickmaker. His father also named James b 1837 in Louth was a brickyard foreman at Walesby Road Brickworks. Censuses show that the family lived at Hambleton House, Walesby Road and 11 Jameson Bridge Street in Market Rasen in 1881 and 1891 respectively but in 1901 were living in Crowle. Information on brickworks welcome too please.

Cooper - Market Rasen
Maria Cooper b.1786 at Market Rasen married John Merry of Herefordshire on 17th May 1824 at Hainton. It is probable that John was Roman Catholic. Their daughter, Maria Merry, aged 15 yrs, is with a Jane Cooper age 65 yrs in the 1841 census along with William Ward aged 25 yrs. There is a link between the Cooper and Ward family as a Mary Cooper married William Ward on 14th Oct 1806 at Hainton. Trying to find evidence of the Cooper parents for Maria/Mary Cooper b.1786 and could this be the same lady marrying twice? Two Mary Cooper's show in the IGI, one born 1785 and the other born 1791 for Market Rasen.

Burgess - Marshchapel
I'm trying to find out about the death of someone called Artenius Burgess who was my greatgrandfather's brother. I know he was born in Lincolnshire in 1862, and he appears on the 1882 census as an 'office clerk' Family legend has it that he went to London as a lawyer's clerk, fell into bad company and committed suicide. I don't have a date but I guess in the late 1880s. I think he also called himself Vincent Burgess. I can't find a death record under either name. Has anyone any ideas about where I can look next?

Fenton - Marton
William Fenton married Sophia Brown and they appear in 1851 census for Marton with son Isaac aged 3. Sophia died and he then married Mary. She died in 1860 and he then married Ann. In 1871 he is in DBY Beighton aged 46 with Ann aged 37, Caroline aged 15, Jane aged 12. I cannot find any of these marriages or baptisms on BMD or IGI. Please, can anyone help ? Isaac, son of William and Sophia is my direct ancestor. William is of NTT Walkeringham.
