I am researching my great grandfather Herbert White whom I have been told was born in Old Leake possibly about 1860. He was living in Bracebridge Lincoln in the 1901 census , married to Elizabeth (nee Chambers?) He seems to have joined the police force when younger but his occupation is not that in 1901. He had 14 children , one of whom was my grandfather, Harold.I am interested in finding out more about his early life, his parents his wife and his connection with Old Leake. This is a site I have found quite by chance and I am interested to see if it can yield any info for me.

Thomas Dooley's father was John Dooley, rumour has it he came from Ireland when he was adopted. No info on his wife.
