My grandfather was a village policeman, he lived in Baston from 1881 to to around 1900, he and his fmily then moved to Bassingham, he was listed in the 1901 census as a retired village policeman, does anyone know this family, they lived on Main Street, Baston .

She died 1863 either during or shortly after giving birth to my G Grandfather Whiteley Maw. She may have the middle name Ann though I'm not sure. There is rumour that John Whiteley could be the father to my G Grandfather as his wife was not living at the address at the time. Can anybody help me find out how to get more info on Elizabeth. I only got her name from Whiteleys birth cert and John Whiteley was named as informant on the said cert, no fathers name is shown in the appropriate box. I estimated her age from the 1861 census where she is shown as aged 19
