Dr. Zephaniah Barton
- Market Rasen
I am looking for any information on my great-great-great grandfather, Dr. Zephaniah Barton. He was born on September 8, 1780 in Horncastle. He married Jane Borman (or Irvine) in 1807 in North Coates, Lincolnshire. They had 12 children. Zephaniah Barton died on November 17, 1854 (and his wife Jane died on November 26, 1865). Both are buried in the cemetery at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Market Rasen (the monument commemorating their lives and the lives of many of their 12 children still stands today). Dr. Barton was a medical pracitioner in Market Rasen for many years (as stated on the tombstone). I am looking for any information on him, his parents, etc. etc. Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Burgess
- Marshchapel
I'm trying to find out about the death of someone called Artenius Burgess who was my greatgrandfather's brother. I know he was born in Lincolnshire in 1862, and he appears on the 1882 census as an 'office clerk' Family legend has it that he went to London as a lawyer's clerk, fell into bad company and committed suicide. I don't have a date but I guess in the late 1880s. I think he also called himself Vincent Burgess. I can't find a death record under either name. Has anyone any ideas about where I can look next?
