She died 23rd June 1971 at Lincoln County Hospital never recovering from injuries substained from being struck by an ambulance. Her address at time of death is given as 14 The Cottage Paddock, De Wint Avenue, Lincoln. Death Cert only refers to Coroners Inquest dates 25th June & 19th July 1971 with no reference to next of kin.

Seeking details of William & Mary Hammond both buried St John the Evangelist Church, Washingborough 1890. William was the son of Christopher Hammond born Ropsley 1776 and his wife Mary possibly born Sewstern, Leics. William's siblings included Eliza,Mary, Jane, Charlotte, Ann, John, Philip, Sarah. William appears to have had a daughter Eliza born at Scopwick but as to names of other children I am unsure. There is a reference to an Elsie Hammond born about 1892 in attendance at the marriage of Edith Houtby & Charles Ottaway about 1912 and again a witness to the wedding of Florence Eveline Hammond in 1916 to Herbert Chapman. She may have been William & Mary's granddaughter.

In the 1841 Census, ROBERT and MARY ROBINSON were in Lincoln (St Martins Parish). Robert's occupation is listed as a butcher. Their family at that stage were: Mary (daughter), Charlotte, Louisa, Elger and Herbert. Another son was born - CHARLES approx 1844. CHARLES ROBINSON emigrated to NZ early 1860. Elger married Martha and had one known daughter, Louisa. They moved to Staffordshire . Herbert moved to Staffordhire as well. The two brothers were joiners, Martha became a Grocer.
