I am trying to proved a supposed (family oral history) that there is a link between my ancestor Ann Elizabeth Carter (b. Gainsborough 1828) and the Bonham-Carter line. Ann's father was Joseph Carter (bp 1799). I have looked at part of a Bonham-Carter family tree, and where the Carter line joins the Bonham line a branch continues as just Carter.
