Danby family
- Fishtoft
I am looking for any information on the Danby family from the 19th. Century or any present members. Charles Danby from Wainfleet St Mary and wife Ann Eliff farmed 50 acres at Fishtoft. The younger son Henry Samuel Danby later appears to have taken over the farm. The story I have is that the land was flooded by the sea and was ruined, probably late 1880's - he left with his wife Kate Harborow, a butchers daughter from Boston and their young family to find work elsewhere and died four years later at Brauncewell near Sleaford in 1892 aged 45 from typhoid fever. Kate Danby and family later returned to Boston.
