Looking for relatives of William Hempsall (1830-1898). William and his wife Mary Ann Smith lived in Donington where William was a carrier and coal dealer. His youngest son John later moved to Sheffield. In a local Donington index, the Hempsall name has been spelled as 'Hemsall'. The Hempsall family originally came from Nottinghamshire through William's father Henry Hempsall (1799-1877).

I am looking for information of My GG/Grandmodthers brother one Joseph Pell, Joseph was born near by at Aslackby, many of his brothers and sisters migrated to Australia. I know that his father and Mother Joseph and Sarah are buried at Donington Sarah in 1881 and Joseph in 1870. Son Joseph married a Harriett Wyman I think!! in 1879 at Donington they had 3 children. They appear in the 1901 census at Donington listed as a Farmer. I found their son aged 32 buried in the new cemertry died 1914, on a recent trip to the old country, however I cannot find any more info on Joseph himself or wife Harriet. Joseph would of been 54 years in 1901. I have checked the BMD but cannot find. could anyone please help?

John Frederick Coulson born 1900, baptised at Dorrington 7th March 1900. Mother listed as Martha Alice Coulson, no father added and JFC annotated as illegitimate. Had younger sister Alice Ann. All three on 1901 census as living in house of William Blades, address 'Fen', Martha's occupation was 'Housekeeper'. Alice Ann later 'adopted' and given name of Susan Mann. Think their mother married Walter Miller in 1908.
There may be other siblings prior to marriage. Any information about John Frederick Coulson eagerly awaited.
