I am trying to trace the family name of my father's side.They came from Ireland in the 1800's the earliest I can find a mention of the name is in 1881 Cencus It mentioned Andrew (My G Grandfather)and James Knilands (23) (25) respectively living at the house of their cousin Robert Phillips (32)and his wife Mary Jane (20)( who were both listed as coming from Ireland too. Robert was listed as being a railway worker and My G Grandfather and his brother were listed as labourers. Robert had 3 children Andrew(10) Margaret J (8) Robert H (6). Andrew married in 1889 Martha Inch who was also Irish Her father William was a Master Mariner but i dont know anything about him He had died before they got married.
