Charles Brown
- Cowden
I am looking for any information about my great grandfather Charles Brown. His date of birth was 6th June 1857, and we think he was born in Cowden but have been unable to trace his birth certificate. We think his father's name was Jonathan and his mother Frances, and believe there were other siblings. If anyone can help me pin down Charles to a birth in Cowden, I have a lot of information about his later life and possibly that of his siblings. Many thanks. Kate

Tooth (originally from East Grinstead?)
- Cranbrook
John Tooth and Sarah Knight had quite a large family all born in Cranbrook between 1767 to 1777. I believe John and Sarah married in East Grinstead, Sussex in 1765.
One of their children, another John Tooth was of East Grinstead parish when he married Martha Tye in Cranbrook in 1803.
A proportion of Tooth's stayed in Cranbrook but some went to Australia.
