I am researching the West family. In particular John West born 1825 who married Eliza Day in 1853 at Hemingford Abbots. Their son Joseph born 1862 married Catherine & they appear on the 1881 census at Woodhurst. They had 13 children most of whom were born at Woodhurst.

I am trying to trace members of the Fowler/Ruff/Ares families of Huntingdonshire. JOSEPH AYRES born c1823, Woodwalton, married HANNAH COX born c1829 Great Raveley. They had 8 children, Frederick, born c1850, ELIZA, born 1852, Sarah, born1856, Elizabeth, born 1858, Emma, born 1862, Joseph born 1865, Ester born 1867 and Margaret born 1870. ELIZA AYRES married KING FOWLER, born Brington 1846. King Fowler was the son of WILLIAM FOWLER, born North Aldwincle c1807, and ANN RUFF, born Stilton 1813. ANN RUFF was the daughter of KING RUFF, born Stilton1784. KING RUFF was married to ELIZABETH BELLAMY, Stilton 1781. King's father was HENRY RUFF Stilton c1725, married to SUSANNA BARLEY Stilton 1728. KING FOWLER & ELIZA moved to Armley in Leeds, where King was a goods guard for the Great Northern Railway. They had 6 children FREDERICK b1875, (my husband's grandfather), WILLIAM b1877, HORACE b1879, MABEL b1881, HERBERT b1884, LEONARD b1888. I am trying to find any decendants of William, Horace, Mabel, Herbert or Leonard. I am also trying to find any ancesters of WILLIAM FOWLER (see above). The AYRES and FOWLER families have connections to the railway, particulary the East coast main line.

I am looking for info about my great=great uncle. He was born in Yaxley 1883,and married Alice M Robinson in 1907.He joined the PPCLI in 1914,was missing in action Feb 1915 at St Eloi,presumed dead. He was son of Jane Tabor. Prior to the PPCLI he served 3 years with the 2nd battalion,Bedfordshire Regiment.
