STEER & WYLIE in Baldock - Baldock
My great great parents are William STEER born c1820 place unknown, and Ann WYLIE born c1831 Baldock. They married in Baldock on 20 August 1856 and within a few years had moved to Hastings, Sussex. I have some information on the Wylie's but absolutely nothing on the Steer's, so any information would be welcomed. William Steer's father was also named William, and was a Painter & Glazier. I now know from a DNA test that my William is connected to a STEER family from Gravesend, Kent, and also further back to the STEER's from the area of East Kent, West Surrey, and no doubt North Sussex, as all three counties meet and there are many Steer families. I am now looking into families of that area.

Joseph married (about 1824) an Elizabeth Clarke (or Hale)if that helps at all and they had 6 children that I know of, all born in Barley, Herts.
