|Searching For Isaac Lock - (Sherborne St John - Hampshire)
On 24 August 1773 Isaac Lock married Elizabeth Watmore by license at St Andrews Church. Four days later they were removed to IsaacÕs lawful settlement in Old Basing. Isaac had spent a year working for Thomas Maynard, a local farmer and I think it is this that earned him his place of settlement. I can find no further trace of them until Isaac turned up in the city of London where he married Ann Woolger at St Giles, Cripplegate on 21 March 1787, before settling in Tooting Graveney. Isaac was born about 1750, not in Old Basing but I have no idea where or who his parents were. Any clues would be much appreciated.
