My Great Grandfather was Charles COLE b. about 1875 in (?), it is said he was born in a workhouse, so he could have been born anywhere as he never spoke of it. Frampton Cotterell. He married Florence Maud COOK (b. Winterbourne 1877)in 1899--Chipping Sodbury. They had 3 children, one being Reginald John COLE, who married Lucy Josephine HIGGINS (on their marriage certificate an "s" was added to Cole and never changed. Any information would be usefull!

I am looking for any decendants of Robert Harwood Organ (b 1888) or Selina May ("Mary") Organ (b1893), children of George and Rachel Organ. George was a bootmaker.The family used the surname Linden on cenus returns, but Organ on BMD registrations!. At the time of the 1901 census, the family was living at 33, Alfred St, St Pauls, Bristol. George died in 1913 (death cert shows address as 8 Sevier St, Bristol) and Rachel in 1929. George and Rachel's eldest son (George Harwood Linden Organ) b 1882 was my grandfather.

An ancestor, James Luxon, was born around 1819 in Bristol. The only entry I've found is James Luxton born 1819, illegitimate son of Jane Luxton, servant. He marries Mary Ann Cox in 1840 and settles for a few years in Topsham Devon where he had relatives and where his wife came from.

PHILIP MICHEL AND FAMILY - Bristol
I'm looking for anything on Philp Michel, who was born c 1819 in Germany. His wife was Margaret, also c 1819, Germany, & he had two children also born in Germany - Anna, c1838 & George c1840. By 1843 he & his family were in Bristol, where his daugher Catharine was baptised on 11 Jun 1843, with subsequent census entries showing that her place of birth was also Bristol. When the family came to the UK his occupation was ships carpenter, and we don't seem to be able to find out where they landed, nor where they lived in Bristol. Any help would be grateful. His surname may be Michel/Mitchel/Mitchele or Mitchell.
