St. Philip & St. Joseph area - Bristol
I am seeking info' on George Henry Hallett who rescued a man from the River Avon and consequently was awarded the Royal Humane Society Bronze Medal in August 1881. The Hallett family lived in the Parish of St. Philip & St. Joseph, in the city of Bristol. As well as researching the Hallett family tree I am also researching the Davies family who initially lived in the same area, but later moved to the St. Thomas Parish in Eastville.

I have a Kate Midwinter. She was my great grandmother's sister (Clara I believe). She married 'uncle Mid'. I have photos of Kate and Clara as well as photos of Uncle Mid at several different ages in the Harvey family album. My great grandfather (Walter Harvey) also worked at W.H. John Hall. Born ca. 1710. Died Stokes Croft, Bristol 16th October 1784. Grocer of the city of Bristol. Probably he was the John Hall apprenticed 1724 to William Salmon, Grocer. Will dated 5th February 1782 and proved 16th February 1786. Married ca. 1734 Bristol Hannah Abbott. Marriage settlement deed dated 18th September 1734. I'd welcome the opportunity to exchange and compare (and if appropriate contrast) information on his ancestors, kinsfolk and descendants.
