Daniel Dean

My Great Grandfather x 6 Daniel Dean (1796 - 1879) lived at Nibley House from about 1824 to 1852 where he was a tenant farmer. He was married twice to Sarah Marsh and Georgina Lewis and had 18 children. Our line is through his 8th son Albert Dean who ran away and joined the Royal Marines changing his name to Albert Daniels. If anyone has researched this line I would be glad to hear from you.

Samuel Fisher married Mary Fowler in Charfield in 1804. They had a son William who was baptised in Charfield later on that year.
I can't find Samuel's parents in Charfield - so I'm stuck! And North Nibley is close afterall....

According to the 1851 Census of 105 Rutland Street, Cheltenham, in Gloucestershire. My Great Great Grandfather, Richard SLY, was a 36 year old Labourer, who was born in NORTHLEACH, Gloucestershire. Therefore, he was born about 1814 or 1815.
In the same household was my Great Great Grandmother, Jane Eliza (nee KINCH), who was also 36 years old and was born in YANWORTH Gloucestershire.
My Great Grandfather, Robert Sly, 13 years old, and his Siblings, John Sly, 10, and Mary Ann Sly, 5, who were allborn in CHELTENHAM, are in the same household.
Richard Sly married Eliza Jane Kinch, on 29 March 1837, at St. Mary's Parish Church, Cheltenham.
I would be interested in any other Descendants, or the Ancestors of this couple.

They had a number of children Martha 1812, William 1817, Eliza 1821, Charles 1823, Job 1827 and Isaac 1829. there may have been others. The 1861 census shows a grandson Charles Scott b. 1848 in Northleach the son of Martha or Eliza. John Parker appears in 1830 Piggotts and in 1861 Census. Charles Scott appears in 1861 and 1871 Census. John, Catherine and Charles Scott are the only family members to appear in 1851, 1861, 1871 Northleach census returns. I'm looking for any further Parker or Scott records in Northleach

My father William Alan Earle was born Northleach April 26 1922. His father Frederic Sutcliffe Earle born 1896 son of Herbert Charles Earle, organist at St. Peter and St. Paul for about forty years until 1949. Herbert married to Annie DANCE from Waleswho was School mistress at Hampnett. Other son Corporal William Herbert Earle died WW1 at Arras (12 Gloucesters) and is rememberd on the memorial in the town square. Herbert's lived at College Row and owned a 'Sunnyside Cottage' in the Village Green. His father was William Earle, carpenter, married to Mary Anne Enock. Williams father was John Earle born 1795 and died 1876, carpenter, buried just inside main gate at Northleach church. John was married to Jane Wilkins born 1807 in Lower Slaughter and was son of Richard and Elizabeth Earl. Other names on my list include Kate Midwinter, Lonsdale, Marianne Witts, Sarah Hyde. Several other sons and daughters of above Earles lived in various areas of England and Wales. I have collected much information in the past year since My dad passed away and would love to hear from anyone who may know anything about this family. Also looking for Mercer family (blacksmiths)from Pewsey or Milton Lilbourne Wilts.
