alias Mabel Walker. We are looking for any information regarding Mizpah (Mabel) Walker. From the orphanage admittance records of her daughter Jean Margaret Walker, Mabel Walker was residing at St. Mary's Home in Painswick as of 21 June 1928. Mizpah Walker was born on 28 August 1897 at Canterbury Cavalry Barracks to Sargeant William Walker and his wife Sarah Ann Robinson. We are trying to determine how long she was at Painswick, if she died there or if she left Painswick and when. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information about the parents of Thomas Claridge b 3.11.1802 who was a farm labourer living at Yokehouse, Painswick for his whole life. He became a noted local preacher, walking many miles each Sunday to deliver his sermons to surrounding chapels. He married Margaret Ireland of Redstables, Painswick on 18.11 1834 and they had ±8 children.
His mother may have been Elizabeth Telling or Elizabeth Stratford and father Thomas Claridge.

Josiah Ruck was my G G Grandfather. I believe he was living in Painswick in 1861, he was 6 years old and he was still there in 1871. I can't find him in the Census after that. John & Hannah Jonsson's son Swen emigrated to UK and married a Welsh girl, Jessie Ada Beavan (b. 1859); they had 9 children, the eldest of whom, Anjanetta, was my maternal grandmother. She met and married James Dixon who came from Painswick and travelled to Newport Mon. to seek work and they settled down in Newport, where my mother Daisy Annie Dixon was born. One of Anjanetta's sister's or sisters-in-law, was housekeeper in what my mother used to describe as the'big house' in Painswick.

George Alfred King Hawkins, wife Lilian Kate, (formerly Taylor) and their children, Frederick Herbert George,and Lilian. Fred was Born in Pillowell in 1919 and was my father. I'm looking for any information about my paternal Grandfather William Frederick Thomas,(widower), he was a retired policeman, born in 1870 at Wotton under Edge, who lived in Pilning in the 1930's. He was buried at Pilning cemetery, he died in August and was buried on the 26 August 1941, aged 74. Their daughter Fanny (b c1856) married John ATKINSON and had two children Fergus (b1878) and Emily (b1881). I am researching the descendants of Fanny's sister, Emily PRITCHARD, (b c1857) who married Alfred ANSDELL in 1882 and moved to live in Cheltenham.
